Delete your WildCrew account

You can ask us to delete your WildCrew account and the data linked to it at any time. For now this is done by email and handled by a person; deleting from inside the app is not available yet.

How to request deletion

1. Write to support@wildcrew.eu with the subject "Delete my WildCrew account".
2. Send the email from the address you signed up with, so we can tell the request comes from you. If you signed in with a phone number, include your display name and the phone number on the account. We may reply to ask one question to confirm it is you.
3. We delete the account within 30 days of receiving your request and confirm by email when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your profile: display name, photo, bio, languages, gender, date of birth, Instagram username, interests and your discovery area.
• Your sign-in details: email address, phone number and password, or the link to your Google account.
• Your photo file in our storage.
• Your join requests and your place in other people's activities.
• The messages you sent in activity chats.
• Your crew connections and crew requests.
• The hashed phone numbers uploaded from your contacts, if you ever used "Find friends".
• Your notification (push) tokens and delivery records.
• Your blocks.
• Activities you host, together with their group chats. The other members lose access to those chats. If you want an activity to continue, tell its members before you ask for deletion.

What is kept, and for how long

• Safety records. If your account is the subject of a report, or was banned, or you filed a report, we keep the report, the reason and a copy of the reported message for up to 12 months after the case is closed, to protect other users and to deal with legal claims. After that it is deleted.
• Backups. Our database provider may keep backup copies for a short time after deletion until they are overwritten. We don't restore deleted accounts from them.
• Legal obligations. We keep our email exchange with you about the request, and anything the law requires us to keep, only as long as needed.

Messages and activities that other people copied or saw before deletion are outside our control.

Remove only some data

In the app you can remove your profile photo and edit your profile at any time. To remove other data without deleting the account, email us and say what you want removed. More about your rights is in the privacy policy.
